So far 93 positive cases of corona virus have been reported in the country, highest in Kerala
There is a steady increase in the number of corona virus patients across the country. According to the latest data, the number of positive cases of Corona reached 93 on Sunday. Kerala has reported the highest number of 22 cases. Apart from this, there have been 19 cases in Maharashtra. At the same time, two in the country and more than 5000 people have died in the whole world.
Several states have ordered closure of schools, colleges, public institutions and cinema halls. The Jammu and Kashmir administration has issued prohibitory orders in Kishtwar and Ramban districts and has banned the gathering of more than five people in public places.The Goa government has also announced closure of swimming pools and pubs from midnight on Sunday. Aligarh Muslim University has closed all classes till 22 March as a precaution. All conferences, workshops, educational tours and sports programs have been postponed to 31 March while examinations at universities and schools will be as per schedule.
The Punjab government has ordered the closure of cinema houses till further orders to prevent the spread of corona virus and prohibited the mobilization of people. The woman, who died in Delhi due to Corona virus, was cremated at Nigambodh Ghat under the supervision of medical authorities.
The funeral took place under the supervision of doctors and MCD of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. The Health Ministry said that it has started the work of setting guidelines regarding the bodies of those who died of the disease. A Health Ministry official said that although the possibility of corona virus infection by disposal of dead bodies is less, guidelines are being made to remove any misconceptions and spread awareness about the spread of the disease from the dead bodies.
Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said at an event in Hyderabad that the number of domestic air passengers has dropped by 10 to 15 percent due to the deadly virus. The Ministry of External Affairs announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address SAARC countries via video conference at 5 pm on Sunday evening to formulate a joint strategy to fight the corona virus in the region.
